I don't know if this place could be in rural japan somewhere, but it feels like i could be standing on the straircase looking down on the kid and cat! this is a fantastic piece, i really enjoy the colours, which i noticed in all your works have this yellowish tint! I LOVE it, love it all. I have cats at home, and they're strays, but they come around my house cause we feed them yet they remain scared.

anyway this is beautiful!

this has a great immediate quality to it - but i think it'd look even better on a wall so you could step back and appreciate it at a distance! :)

the chosen angle also gives it a lot of life and movement - it'd be great to see it blown up onto an entire wall!

So many of your pieces look like memories. I'm not trying to be cheesy or anything, really.

When I remember things about my grandparents' house, I see an image exactly like this.

I truly love how much color is in each of your paintings! There's always a mix of emotions and feelings, all wrapped up into one image. I think that's why there are many interpretations of many of your pieces, different people pick up on those colors, those feelings, and go with them. At least, that's what I seem to do... I always know there is more to a painting than what I see, but I pick my road and go down it with my comment, and see where it takes me. :)
...Which is usually on a tangent, like that!! ^^; Sorry!
I love how the light comes from that top right area, and washes down the street or alley there, onto the child, and onto the buildings, and even up the stairs! It just sort of flows down and onto the painting like a glow. The texture on the roofs/awnings there on the right is really neat! :)
Do I see a kitty? ^^;

I truly love reading your comments, you are very imaginative and can think up wondering stories while looking at artwork :glomp:
Please take care, and have a happy and healthy 2006! :)

PS: Yes, that's a kitty! (you're very very observant!) ^o^

:hug: I love the kitty... ^^; I must admit I look for it in each new painting!! I love having continuity in following someone's art. Having some element to expect, to look for, and being rewarded from time to time with it being there. It's a kind of magic for me. :) I so enjoy following your paintings!!
Hope your new year has started off wonderfully, and I know it will continue!

... *A* :heart::heart: OMG, this is really AMAZING. The warm, extremely nostalgic colors, the almost-dappled effect, the perspective of the stairs leading down to the tiny street, the sight of the child playing with the kitten, the sketched-out feel of the entire painting--all of it makes my heart go apitter-patter and I just feel all WARM and FUZZY instead. AWLEITWOEI;;;awet *crying* There isn't a single thing about this that doesn't make me all weirdly nostalgic, it's like an illustration out of a book of asian poetry or something, god. *faving like mad*

So much talent! TT3TT

It's so beautiful I could cry. How do you do it? You have a unique idea of perspective, and a brilliant impressionist use of colors. ...great composition as well. I could stare at your paintings for hours; you really should try to make a tutorial, or at least take some "work in progress" shots. I'd love to you see your process from start to finish.

Thanks for your comments again, you praised me too much lol! Re: how do I draw/paint, I really can't describe, it's a process of 'go with the flow of the energy'. Hence, I can never capture it in steps (tutorial) as that would kind of break the flow, for now at least.
But thanks for the kind suggestion :)
