Ah, another masterpiece. I don't know how familiar you are with Akira Kurosawa, but the other day I was watching his documentary about making Ikiru and when I saw his story board art my though was "whoa, that looks like a koony." Here, look what I just found.

It's someone's blog that's kind of interesting, but it has an example of Kurosawa's art.

I like your work here, and now that I think about it, it really looks like something out of a Kurosawa film, or any film, really. A little scene, but it's just begging for movement. None of the items seem placed, but rather the ramen-ya looks like a real place, with everything where it has just wound up. Interestingly you have a very realistic depth compared to some of your exaggerated stuff. It works for this piece very well because it places the viewer in the scene. I'm impressed. :)
